Dear Musicians,
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you for auditioning. Both of us were utterly impressed by the level of preparation, talent, and professionalism that you each exhibited. The total number of those who auditioned exceeded any previous year.
The 2012-13 roster of the Princeton University Orchestra has stretched to its absolute maximum. The violin section has 44 names; eight more than last year's section. There was simply not enough room for all of the talent. The number of violins in Sinfonia is also higher than ever. Both groups will platoon and divide the opportunities and will be seeking new outlets to find meaningful ways for you to all play.
If for some reason there was a name left off of the lists, please contact us for clarification. There were a few wind players who could not be accommodated in Sinfonia this year. Sinfonia's first meeting will be on Monday at 7pm in McAlpin.
